Papillary Fields took place in a medical center in Zurich Witikon. This location was undergoing its own transformation, from a COVID testing site to a practice for autologous blood therapy, tattoo removal, and Botox treatments.
We invited four young emerging artists from the cantons of Basel, Lucerne, and Valais to showcase their work or create new pieces. We had the shared task of engaging with the space and environment. As a result, new artworks and installations emerged, addressing themes of skin, identity, alienation and addiction.
